BioN fosters the interchange between students and alumni and promotes career opportunities for BioN members within industry, acadaemia and nonprofit sector. As an important player at Karolinska institutet, BioN offers a unique and integrated platform for inspiration, networking and career development for all of our members. Our members are composed of students and alumni from the Biomedicine, Bioentrepreneurship and Toxicology programmes at Karolinska institutet. Our partners come from acadaemia, the public sector, the life science industry as well as non-profit organisations. 

BioN is one of the largest networks of its kind in Sweden, providing a platform for inspiration, networking and career opportunities for life science talent from Karolinska Institutet.

 

It was founded in 2007 by students from the Biomedicine programme at the world-renowned Karolinska institutet. Already at its start, the aim of the network was to create a professional nonprofit organisation that would connect students, alumnus and their future careers.



In 2011, about 40% of the Biomedicine, Bioenterpreneurship and Toxicology students and alumni from Karolinska Institutet were members of BioN. Today' it is one of the largest networks for life science talent in Sweden.
